Porcelain Veneers
We aim to improve the world one smile at a time at Brea Premier Dentistry! One way we can do this is with porcelain veneers.
Dental veneers can repair one or two teeth with cosmetic flaws. However, we can also use them to completely transform your smile, giving you a symmetrical and beautiful look that you can feel confident and proud of.
What Are Dental Veneers?
Veneers are super-thin covers for the front surface of your teeth that Dr. Lee makes with ceramic porcelain. He can customize your veneers to match neighboring teeth or use six to eight of them to create symmetry, brighten your teeth, and give you that camera-ready smile you’ve always wanted.
Because porcelain veneers are bonded directly to your teeth, they’re a permanent solution that adds strength and beauty to your smile. They’re also easy to care for, requiring little to no changes to your brushing and flossing routine.
What Can Porcelain Veneers in Brea Fix?
Dental veneers are ideal for eliminating minor cosmetic flaws like these:
- Chipped or broken teeth
- Gaps or spaces between teeth
- Stains or discoloration
- Tooth size or shape discrepancies
- Small misalignment issues
Dr. Lee can help you design your dream smile with porcelain veneers!
What Is the Porcelain Veneer Process?
We can typically create your new smile over the course of two to three weeks with two appointments at Brea Premier Dentistry.
At your first appointment, Dr. Lee takes impressions of your teeth, prepares them for their new restorations, and creates temporary veneers you will wear while a dental lab handcrafts your final restorations. Wearing your temporary veneers will give you a feel for what your new smile will be like.
It usually takes about two to three weeks for the dental lab to create your final veneers, and when they’re ready, you’ll return to our Brea dental office to have them placed. Dr. Lee will make any necessary adjustments to ensure your bite functions properly and that you absolutely love your new smile, and then you’re off to share it with the world!
Facts to Understand About Porcelain Veneers
Here are some things to consider when you’re deciding if porcelain veneers are right for you:
- You may need dental work before getting veneers to ensure your teeth and gums are healthy.
- You must avoid biting directly into hard foods to protect your veneers from damage.
- Placing veneers requires Dr. Lee to remove a small layer of tooth enamel, which makes them a permanent restoration and lifetime commitment.
- You’ll need to follow a consistent home care routine of daily brushing and flossing because your natural teeth underneath your veneers are still susceptible to decay and cavities.
With a consistent home care routine and regular visits to your Brea dentist, your veneers can last for many years.
